Access to Metsovo
The access by car to this mountainous area is rather difficult and during the winter there are adverse weather conditions and the snow-fall is really intense. For this reason, and in order to facilitate the access to Northern Greece as well, Metsovo has been connected with Egnatia Road – this project was completed in 2009. This will have an important contribution to the touristic development of the city as well as to the promotion of its local products.
